Why would my computer not recognise my printer?

Haven't changed anything and adjectives of a sudden it says near is no drivers for the device.

Answer:
Its possible your drivers got corrupted. Try reinstalling them. If that dont work gain back to me.
Was you printer wearing a disguise?
