Lexmark1100 printer,will not communicate next to computer even thou cable are tightly plugged surrounded by.?

You might want to try going to lexmark.com and getting the driver for it and then installing it. I have the same problem until I did this.
try going to Control Panel. Do the add/Rem hardware,uninstall Printer.
after go posterior tp CP and click on printers/hardware, then click printers/faxes.
Right click on deity of your printer and delete it
Reboot system
It should see it now and ask for disk
