What application are you running from?
Or I don`t know you can try tweaking the printing window and see if your printing the page at 100% of the actual size. You could be printing at a smaller percentage of the actual page. Good luck.
Click on "file" "page setup" and sort sure you have "81/2 x 11 within the box.
