i inserted a unsullied black cartridge within my printer. when set, it is not printing when given the print command. some dots appear on paper. that's adjectives. what to do? it is a lexmark printer.

Answer:
Did you buy a cheap third-party cartridge? That's a BIG no-no unless you close to wasting your money. If you did, get one from the imaginative printer manufacturer. Or conceivably you got the wrong videotape type for your printer? Anyways, to solve all these question, just attain a cartridge from the factory owner that is COMPATIBLE. Don't a moment ago get any ink tape, cuz it's just going to ruin your printer.
Buy a trial one
Did you try to calibrate it? I would update the drivers and see if that helps as powerfully.
Take the new tape out and replace with the
elderly one. Does it still try to print with the neglected one? If yes check the new videotape and make sure took the cassette of of the print head.
Reinstall it and try again. If it does not work you
may hold gotten a bad printer tape... It happen sometimes..
I suppose those dots are the dots other prints when a new tape is put. You have to thieve that dotted printed paper and scan it; the printer lend a hand menu should tell you more or less the new videotape setting help
