Advice on a unmarked printer please?

I would resembling to purchase a new printer.

My usage is in the main word documents, sometimes colour maps etc.
I would want something near the facility for scanning/copying as well.

Fairly inexpensive, but inclined to pay a bit more if right value considering the subsequent two requirements:
Fairly fast
Ink cartridges that wont break the wall.

Thank you for your advice.

Answer:
Don't touch Dell or Lexmark printers (individual or all-in-one) - they are both of impossible to tell apart - cheap printers but expensive replacement cartridges.
If you can afford it, better to have separate items ie separate printer and scanner so if 1 breaks down, the other item is usable. Epsons are angelic printers - very unforced to get hold of replacement cartridges surrounded by bulk or single from Ebay. HP printers are good printers also, though cost of replacement cartridges are slightly high than Epsons. Only use the refilling substitute if you are confident you can do the refilling short contaminating or overfilling.

Depending on what you want from a scanner (ie do you want to scan slides/negatives as well as scan documents/photos) the price can ebb and flow from lb25 upwards for basic scanners surrounded by UK and printers around lb40 upwards. For an Epson C48 (fab documents and photos) printer cost me lb48. An Epson Scanner (scans negs/slides/docs/photos) cost me lb58.00 so both weren't too expensive a purchase.

Hope this helps
Research, research, research. A multifunction from HP or Canon are other a good bet. If you enjoy Costco, go check out what they hold available. Read reviews at www.cnet.com, circuitcity.com, and amazon.com. That's the best way to find out what culture think.
2nd foot color laser from HP
and a cheap scanner.

all-in-one are $130 and only work for a few months.
There is awfully little between the major brands and they adjectives have justifiably priced entry level printers near good trait print. I have a primary HP printer HP1100 and I've had excellent results. If you are worried nearly ongoing costs, I would look at the prices of cartridges and then buy the printer base on that.
You can try HP OfficeJet models, they are Printer,Scanner and Photocopy machine adjectives in one and they are not expensive, depend on internal memory the printing speeds are different.
The just disadvantage is ink cartridge price, it is exceedingly expensive to replace the cartridge, if you want to use your printer totally much. then you enjoy to buy an expensive Laser Jet series.
HP Officejet 4300 all within one.It copies, scans, faxes and prints. I purely bought one at Walmart for 88 dollars a couple of days ago. It's wonderful.
There are some brilliant low cost all within one printers and if you have your cartridges packed instead of buying new ones you can stockpile a lot of money. I hold a HP model with Pictbridge. This allows you to print straight from your camera in need the need for the computer. Speed depends on how much you are prepared to recompense. Lexmark are pretty good but I found the ink a bit pricey and the scan/copy changed the colour too much from the innovative. The HP Vivera I have right immediately is a year old and I hold hammered it near printing. It still works fine. The secret is to verbs them regularly. You can do this through the Printer programme.
get canon, hp or epsom, don't touch lexmark, the printers are cheap but you pay packet through the roof for replacement ink
I'd reccomend a hp all contained by one printer or a canon all surrounded by one printer- they are the best. If you have a dell computer though it's best to step for a dell printer all surrounded by one
LEXMARK 7300 Series, Fax Copier Scanner Printer bought mine from PCWorld Business for lb63.00 have have no problems with it and i stock up my cartridges also cartridges cheap on Ebay, and as for a workhorse printer i use the HP Buisness Inkjet 1200, very cheap to run and again assured refill of the tank.
HP has some inkjet all-in-ones and I recommend them for support and warranty.
