I am at my aunt's house and trying to install her Lexmark 1200 series: X1240 printer. Before I looked at it, it be installed but not working afterwards I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Now, it is still giving my a communication problem between the printer and the computer. She is running windows vista on her HP. I've unplugged the printer from the computer and unplugged the USB and rebooted but nought had changed. When I replugged everything fund, I heard a 'beep', does this be a sign of anything? Does anyone have any proposal on how to correct this. I've tried looking at the help center but it won't verbs it up b/c of the version of window she's using.. weird. I would appreciated any minister to, thank you and have a great hours of daylight :)
Answer:
First of all that blare means a device have been detected and thats a moral sign. You should see it in the bottom right proverb something has be detected whether its already installed or not. Make sure you install everything your cd-rom has. If that doesn't resolve the problem, the printer might own been manufactured until that time the vista release. Chances are you will have to look for Vista drivers and software that will work on vista. Finding HP drivers shouldn't be difficult, lately google your printer model with vista at the running out of the statement. Good luck!
