Is There A colour Printer That Doesn't Use Cartridges to Operate?

Answer:
Strict answer, NO. However, I enjoy a 'modified' Epson 320 printer that runs from ink bottles at the side of the printer. There are 'modified' cartridges inside. This system if you are interested is a "Continuous Ink Supply System' (works on Yahoo Search), very cheap to run, around forty pence for a cartridge full of ink.
Colour laser printers don't own cartridges as such.
color laser printers use toner instead of ink cartridges. however, when you run out of toner, you will have to replace those as okay. colored toner is expensive
I guess that would be almost impossible. I think adjectives of them use 'cartridges' but some have ink, toner or special serious newspaper.
As far as I know the answer to this is simply: "No".

The only printers that do not use a tape for ink or toner either use a ribbon or special steam sensitive paper (both of these types are sometimes used for till receipts) and both produce monochrome output.

Some typewriters used to use (and probably still use) a two colour black/red ribbon and I suppose that at hand might have be some printers that used a ribbon like this but I don't remember ever seeing one - and this isn't what you designed by colour anyway.
