I simply got a modern PC with window vista.
I have a HP Printer desktop model 9300 and I cannot set it to work on the alien PC., as it doesnot suppport the printer. What do I do .
The printer was set up and worked fine near windows xp.

Answer:
Usually different Operating Systems like Vista will enjoy drivers for older printers.
Vista may own been made past your printer.
So your printer is in limbo.

Go here----http://h18000.www1.hp.com/
later click Product Support Information,
then enter contained by your exact Model name, and number,
later tick what information you want to know,
then proceed from at hand. Look for Vista drivers.
i have a hp printer and i enjoy the same problem downloading software bad their site to make it compatable .
According to the HP website, no updated driver download is going to be provided to agree to your printer run on Vista, so I'm afraid it looks like you'll own to buy yourself a new printer.
This seem to be happening next to quite plentifully of products - a chance for manufacturer to force people to buy unknown peripherals, unfortunately.
