I have a question answered and tried the suggestion (see answers) purely today. However, we removed the back cover, no dissertation was stuck, did adjectives that was suggested. STill the mesage, #58 error not reading tape. So, we've used new and refill and cleaned and shutdown etc. Do I now requirement to get the printer repaired or is it better to simply get a untried one? The other cartridges #57 and #56 work fine and the printer prints good, but the photo tape I use alot. thanks.

You enjoy tried a new videotape? If so it might be something inside the printer where the videotape goes within so make sure zilch is in the channel where the tape sits. If none of the helps though you might of late be better off buying a fresh printer. It would probably cost more to get it fixed next to buy new. Plus brand new ones come with ink which is almost as expensive as the printer itself. Sorry if that doesn't backing!
