HP, Epson and Nikon make scanners that hold adapters for 35mm film or slides. They work pretty resourcefully, but be prepared to spend some time doing it. This model is similar to mine

hmm.. negatives i dunno ... pics can be scan hi-res ... and i would never go wager on to film after getting a 7mp+ digital camera ...
