Laptop abet!!! how do i print something from the laptop to the printer downstairs?

My kith and kin recently get a laptop and we also have a home computer.. both dell. How do you print things from the laptop directly to the pprinter we have downstairs i.e. onnected to the other computer. For now, i enjoy been merely emailing it to myself and opening it up to the home computer so i can print if stale that way. Do i own to get a printer router or something?

Forget almost a print router or print server.

If you have a Cable or DSL modem (broadband internet): All you want is a wireless router to go BETWEEN your prime computer and your cable or DSL modem. Setup the printer to be shared by running the network setup wizard and allowing through the firewall on the chief computer. You must have the SAME logon ego and password on both computers.
