If your unsullied computer doesn't have a printer cable interface on the put a bet on you can buy a printer to usb cable and run the printer from the usb port.
it should have hold the female plugin your describing. if yes a new cord but i don't guess you can just win a cord, maybe an adapter, if that even works. you could extension up with a conflict and it out of action at all. so after hooking it up and your comp should crash next to the blue screen of extermination saying recovered from a serious error. your not going to know how to use the printer.

the topical computers won't have the parallel port connections that retro fit elder equippment like the prehistoric printer. If it has USB afterwards you are better off next to that. But if it dosen't then here is no hope for that. My advice, acquire a new printer. But if you hold vista, you are in for a bigger shock because HP dosen't hold the drivers that completley work with Vista, they single guaranteed to work up to XP.They still work on vista though. Just plug the device in formerly the CD, not the other opening around as the instructions say. Later on , they might engender newer drivers that are totally Vista Compatible. Just a word of warning.
