Can printer brand differ from computer brand?

what I am trying to read aloud is if for example I have a dell computer can I use a hp or lexmark printer?
does the printer other have to be duplicate brand as the computer or can it differ?

Answer:
You can have printer of another brand. All you hold to do is attach the printer to your PC using LPT port of USB port (if it has this option) switch it on and afterwards install its driver. I hope you have the compact disc of its driver. Insert it into your CD-ROM and run its setup. Follow the instructions that will guide you to the installation procedure. When installation is over you will be asked to print a test page so that you know your printer is installed and working properly.....
hope the problem is solved...
It can differ. It is surrounded by the printer makers intrest (HP or Lexmarks surrounded by your example) to make it work next to all different computer brands (Eg. Dell).
yes
NO any printer will work near any computer providing the operating system is compatible with the printer. If you are using window XP, that means that pretty much any printer on the souk will work with your computer.
It does not hold to be the same brand. Most printers do not label computers anyway. For example, there is no Lexmark computer system or Canon computer system. And vice versa, in attendance is no Acer printer....so the makers of printers know that the printers own to be compatible with different computer systems.
YES, GET A LEXMARK, CHEAP and AFFORDABLE
