You don't really entail to set your crt at higher than 85 hz, although if it can knob it then it doesn't thing. lower than that and you will see some "flicker, esp. at 60Hz. Resolution is up to you, again as long as your monitor can handle it it doesn't concern. if it can't then you freshly won't get a picture but it won't injure it or anything. I love 1600x1200 because you get abundantly of "room" on your desktop, but with 19" it might clear the screen fonts too small to read comfortably.
CRT's don't hold a native resolution. LCD's do; its the size of the pixel grid. If you try to use an LCD monitor at bar its native resolution, you won't get hold of as good a picture, depending on the monitor it might chop stale part of the eyeshade or leave a black border around the doll instead of trying to scale it.
It depends on the monitor. I right to be heard, if you set a resolution and it looks ok, go next to it. If it looks skewed or warped, grasp rid of it.
1024x768 is quite the norm , but my 19" crt is set to 1280x1024 and it's fine.
If the monitor can knob it no problem. It might be hard on your eyes. I used to use that resolution at work but I have 21 CRT. It's hard to read and beside a 19 it would be really hard to read.
