I own a very scrubby Green Line running from the top to the bottom of the screen. It have happened lately and I have no theory how to remove it (if I can?) Any ideas please.

You can't.
One of the column drivers on your LCD panel have become defective.
If it is in warranty find it fixed. If it is out of warranty it will probably cost more to fix it than get a up to date one.
