How can i connect multiple medium devices to one notebook monitor?

I want to know how to connect my PC and Xbox games console to my flat screen monitor, but i'm not sure what i require to do this. I would similar to to be able to hold them all connected at indistinguishable time, but only showing on the monitor when preferred.

And another entity, is it at all possible to view freeview tv through a PC monitor via a PC? I believe it needs a laptop tuner card?

your pc should own a vga connection or hdmi... your xbox you can return with a cable to go to vga... so look for a vga selector... computer shops should own those... something like four vga inputs but one output...
