ok when buying a tft monitor the best entry to look for is the resonce time.
if you play games i would recomend 8ms or lower as this will stop you from getting screen line and look a lot better for playing games.

Look for response time if you play games. Some are now available at smaller amount than 8 milliseconds. There can be some complications if you go for the widescreen hotchpotch. Most available are 17 and 19 inch with aspect ratio (width/height) of 5:4 using 1280 x 1024 pixels (colour dots). Any pretty modern PC graphics card will support this. 19 inch is better (for me) as displayed characters are smaller on 17 inch.
Displays normally connect via a VGA socket but hottest graphics cards also include DVI (high definition digital) sockets. I believe that some LCD monitors do not have VGA connectors, so survey it. Some might also come without the VGA cable.
Some enjoy built-in loud speakers - not very honest quality nouns, if it matters.
LCD displays are of inferior quality CRTs when viewed from a yawning angle. There will be a Viewing Angle specification. Look at some from the side in a shop, if you are concerned.
