CRT monitor for the iMac - blind is REALLY messed up?

When the monitor is turned on, in that are patches on the blind (usually on bottom, top and sides) where the scan lines enjoy separated, causing a double sign. These patches move from side to side and vibrate as they drift around the eyeshade (think lava lamp) and take in the order of 10 minutes to disappear completely.
Is there a fix for it? Please assist!

Answer:
All I can think of is charming or electrical interferences. Try moving all magnets (speakers, fan, anything with an electric motor) away and try using a different wall socket or a rank conditioner. Sometimes this happens when the voltage of a wall outlet is not constant (keep contained by mind a surge protector is not a line conditioner). Try it at a friend's house if you can. If it does duplicate thing, next you need a tech to work on it, or a trial monitor.
Good Luck.
