Computer display problem - I don`t know due to Vista?

I a moment ago bought a brand new notebook/tablet workstation with Windows Vista. Overall, most things look great, including the desktop, window, and most applications. But a few applications appear fuzzy or blurry.

I installed the latest itunes, for example, but the display looks blurry while its running (not the entire display, a moment ago the itunes portion - in certainty, the window around it appears usual.) This also happens to Microsoft Works (preinstalled on my pc). But most programs I enjoy opened, including Microsoft Wordpad, appear completely common.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Is this a possible Vista issue? What can I do just about it?

Hiya C-Bunny,

After consideration I tend to agree with your diagnosis. I am sure millions of folks are using ITunes with no rampant problems that we know of and like is true of Works. However, in my feelings Vista is a half cooked collation and needs some spicing up. I hold removed it from quite a few laptops that come with it preinstalled at the owners request.

The standard answer here is usually "download and install the most recent device drivers for your video adapter". I disagree!

You can try attaching an external monitor to see if the problem duplicates itself on a different display. If it does not, then some hardware hitch in the display components is plausible the cause. If the the problem occur on the test monitor but the eyeshade is mostly sharp but fuzzy for only some applications after I would consider those darn device driver downloads. There is a chance the tablet will cooperate if you do this. I hold a problem with a brand latest unit functioning anywhere short of best.

You should not have to install any drivers and the provider is responsible for this. Any software the system allowed you to install should any work, or not work at all. Sometimes the troubleshooting experts that support laptops and tablets try to kind you feel responsible.

Enough ranting? I know this will be a hassle but I would lift it back and consider exchanging the tablet for a different model that cooperates beside Vista. Or exchange the unit for one next to a different operating system (which they will not do for you), or just go and get your money back. A couple of the unit I was asked to convert from Vista to XP be Sony Vaio laptops and the support for XP is non-existent. This means I have to open the unit up and read the chip version ID numbers and find the device drivers for XP from other sources other consequently Sony.

My opinion is like as your suspicions.

E-mail me from my profile if you have or inevitability any specific info, I will help.

GOOD LUCK!!
