What's the right Video Card to replace my on the bus clear card?
Answer:
Besides having those 2 PCI slots you should hold a PCI Express X16 graphics card slot. Dell suggest using a ATI Radeon X300 SE that they offer as an donate on for $51.00 when you buy the computer. You might want to check and see if they will offer you any contract on that because it goes for give or take a few $128.00 - $150.00 if you buy it online. I don't know what kinda money you are looking to spend but if about $100.00 is what you are planing on spending check out the links I enjoy included. You might want to look around but try and take power of that Express X16 slot the Radeon card that they suggest will work very right but that last correlation with the GeForce 7600 will work greatly better and if you cant get the better treaty through Dell it would be about like price.
there are LOADS of graphics cards
they come and go from lb50 to about lb1000 <- these are incredable
you can also shift for SLI which is using 2 graphics cards but if it is just for watching movies stick to 1 card - Nvidia are a totally good build and you should probably look in the lb150 variety as these will hopefully suit youe needs - BEWARE tho
i hold had Dell computer and i find it remarkably hard to upgrade (because here is not much room inside)
so make sure you can return it - save the recipet
Peace out :)
You can go next to MSI Nvidia 8800 which is right now the best and most expensive. Then down the rank you have MSI Nvidia 7900 series cards and consequently inthe mid range you hold 7600, 6600, 6800 etc. and at the bottom you have 6200, 5950, 5700 etc.
Ati is also worthy and solid performer, you can use X1950 which is presently the best and most expensive, then you own X1800, X1600 and at the bottom you have X300, X800 etc.
I would jump with any Nvidia Geforece 7600 GT from MSI or Sappire ATi radeon X1600, both reasonably cheap for whats inside.
