Why is display individual using 16 colours?

why is my diplay colours settings not shifting? It stays in 16 even when i restat my computer. When i startup the pane logo is in colour (not the best colour though) but when it reach the desktop it's all grey. Why? and what can i do to translation it?

Make sure you have the up-to-the-minute video drivers. Either of the system manufacturer's web site, or of the video card manufacturer's site.


Then: Control Panel > Display Properties > Settings tab.

Set the resolution that your want and consequently the colour quality to 24 bit or 32 bit.
sounds close to u may be missing a display driver ... reinstall it ...
You need to install the driver of your Video card.
