Windows Vista 'squashes' the display of my widescreen laptop! How can I fix this?

Basically, everything be dandy when I used XP, but now I installed a copy of Vista and adjectives the images are for a moment bit wider. I do graphics and this is intensely annoying. How can I fix this?

Answer:
Vista currently has problems beside monitors that don't follow the standard 4:3 ratio (like your widescreen laptop).

All problems will be solved in Service Pack 1, which should be out around May 2008.

I insist on uninstalling Vista and waiting until then.
possibly its because the screen is vastly wide and its resembling when you stretch a picture the pixels get bigger so they dont look close to the picture
