How to set horizontal sync length on my CPU for my monitor?
I believe this refers to the horizontal and vertical sync extent of the monitor. Acoording to the LG website the horizontal sync range is 30-83 kHZ and the vertical sync breadth is 56 - 75 Hz. So it seems that it is the horizontal sync length that is out. My ask is how do i set the horizontal sync range on my computer. My window system is Windows XP Professional.
Answer:
First, LCD monitors need to be at 60hz. Unlike CRT displays, raise the refresh rate does not do you any biddable on a LCD display.
Reboot the computer and hit the "F8" key a bunch of times right up to that time the "WIndows XP" logo screen pops up.
This will bring up the menu for locked mode and other such options. Select "Enable VGA Mode" and hit enter.
This will boot to window using the default resolution that adjectives monitors can display. Then, go into display properties again and merely set the resolution to what you need it to be. Don't mess near the refresh rate. When you relocate the refresh rate, it automatically sets the horzontal proportional to the vertical. If you set it to 75hz the Hsync is going to turn to that 93.5 khz because that is what it desires to be to be proportional to the vertical refresh rate..
You should merely be running the refresh rate at 60hz. Thats adjectives your monitor can display, raising it to 75hz will not present you ANY benefit on an LCD monitor.
