Is my monitor shot?

I enjoy had this lcd 19" monitor for two years. This morning it stop working. It will flash a peak for a moment then black. Moved it to my other computer matching problem. What do you think?

Answer:
Usually these kind of monitors have a small LED that change color depending on if it has signal or not. When it is within standby mode it's usually an amber color and green when it's receiving a signal. What color is the LED when it flashes? Does it move about green then stern to amber? If so it could be your video cable, I would replace it first simply because it's the cheapest to replace. If the light stays green and still shows no signal, it could immensely well be the monitor. Before replacing it entirely I would also try a specified working power supply as well as replacing the video cable, if anything to destroy the possibility of it being any of those two. Good luck man.
