Computer slowed down to a crawl. Norton 360? New 20" monitor?
Answer:
You should try getting a new video card and some more RAM. I have a problem like this on my computer and newly getting new components fixed it up. You should also try getting some software close to TuneUp Utilities 2007 to clean up and defragment your PC.

I would take Norton 360 rotten the computer. The resolution may not be helping the situation but Norton is likely hurting it the most. The Symantec series is nutorious for resource hogging programs that do an "ok" opening.
