Can you use a dell eyeshade as a tv??
Answer:
If you have a tv tuner card on yo PC then you definitly could plug a coax into your computer later get TV on the eyeshade. But thats not what you want, probably.
You could get a tv tuner box as shown at http://www.cnet.com/4520-7387_1-6341848-... which would convert what comes over the coax into something that connects to your monitor.
Wow definitly keep under surveillance that video. I think I may want to do this as economically. You may not need the tv tuner box if your cable box (or satelite or doesn`t matter what your tv comes in under) have outputs other than a cox and your monitor have the same as input. Otherwise you will want a box.
Heres a few from tigerdirect. The $40.00 one is the best price I can find for you. But Included the other ones as well.

Depends on a few things. Whether your Dell has a TV Tuner, whether the monitor itself have an input for a cable, etc.
If it has an input for cable, simply plug it within.
If it doesn't, and your Dell has a TV tuner. you could after plug the cable into your laptop, then your laptop to the display.
Good luck!
Cheers
Not on it's own. But, I know that Dell does produce flatpanel TV's as okay as monitors. To use your monitor as a TV, however, you have to plug surrounded by a TV tuner card into your PC, and then plug your monitor into the TV tuner enabled PC. Don't verbs about the price, since I know of TV tuner cards that cost below $100. Just make sure you own the right drivers and hardware to run it, though.
Good luck!
I have DVD player beside both RCA and VGA output and the picture is much more superior using an LCD monitor than with a standard TV
