Moniter problem (samsung syncmaster 500s)?

The problem is sometimes when I log into a vindication on the computer the moniter screen go blank. When this happens the dot close to the power button alternates between green and orange repeatitly. This is pretty annoying at times and i would like a soultion to this problem. This usally happen when I leave the computer alone for a while next it resets to the log in peak then try to log contained by again. Again the moniter name is samsung syncmaster 500s. I use window xp home edition. thanks surrounded by advance and I'm sorry for any spelling errors or if you didn't comprehend some of it.

From your description I am sure this is a configuration issue and monitor and the PC are both OK.

1. Use the buttons on the monitor to do a "FACTORY RESET".

2. In Windows go to, Control Panel | Display Properties | Screen Saver | Power | and turn adjectives the setting to "NONE", then translate the screen shareholder to "NONE".

Test for the problem, if it persists:

3. Enter the system BIOS (DEL switch at power up)
Find the POWER settings age and disable all settings, everything OFF.

Test for the problem , If it persist:

Your display adapter is doing a refresh rate "HICCUP" when it is re-powered after the stand-by mode is completed. You might try different drivers or replace it if it really bothers you.
