How do I remove something from my control panel?
Answers:
Control panel listings are stored on your PC with the profile extension of CPL. You could do a search on your entire PC (all drives and folders) using the keyword "*.cpl" in need the quotes. It will pull up adjectives entries. If you find the one for the program, you can delete all instances of it, but this may create other errors as it removes the link to components of the program.
You could also download the trial copy of TuneUp Utilites 2006 (there may be a 2007 by now) and it will search your PC for programs that no longer exist and remove any deceased entries automatically.
restart it and start from the beggining.
You aren't allowed to get rid of those unless you bring a program that will let you...I used to own one, but I can't remember what it was call.
First of all, you can't remove settings from the first folder of your control panel. If you are trying to add/remove programs, a moment ago go to your primary drive/program files/ and find the program, and in recent times delete the whole directory, and consequently try doing the add/remove again.
You can only remove icon in the control panel if you uninstall whichever program installed the icon. If the icon come with Windows, next you can't remove it.
