Does anyone know what the pixels own to be for a desktop wallpaper on a 19inch monitor? approaching 1200x1500 etc.?

1200x1500 sounds so tiny. I have mine set at 1024x768 on a 17" monitor and consequently the icons knock down to a size 25. Anything above 1024x768 makes your icon smaller still to the point of no-see-um.
1280 x 1024 ---- 19 inch monitors

1024 x 768 ------ 17 inch monitors
