Desktop have shifted out of alignment beside the monitor- any suggestions?
frustrating to utter the least!
Answer:
I achieve this from time to time, and it corrects if I turn just the monitor stale and on again. If you have a driver disk for the monitor you could try and re-install the drivers. Otherwise use the position adjustment on the monitor itself, sometimes the settings are forgotten
Try adjust the screen position surrounded by the monitor's control panel or just reset it...
There are adjustment knob on the bottom of your monitor.
Use them to realign your desktop.
press button on monitor or right click>prop>settings>advanced>m... type>default.
Right click on your graphics card and select display settings conceivably you have to update your drivers sorry I can't impart a better solution best of luck
If its a CRT monitor, and a magnet has not long been close it, you may need to Degauss it. Its one of the buttons on the monitor, or may be contained by the monitor's main menu.

Or: Put arrow on edge of peak until you see a double arrow. Hold down the button and move the screen where on earth you want it. The double arrow must straddle the line.
you can try to press the button on the monitor, adjectives the buttons have a fuction to shift you blind to a right point.
it may problem in your monitor resolution.
In a digital monitor start on menu and set its 'H-Position', 'V-Position' or 'H-Size' or V'-Size'.
Most monitor's have a "Auto-Adjust" contained by the menu option.
Your monitor can be familiar with the buttons at the bottom, it take a bit of getting used to depending on your computer but don't worry you will capture it right in the finish.
