Computer monitors?

What is the difference contained by a CRT and LCD monitor?
Which one would be better to get?

Answer:
LCD over CRT is a great decesion
nearby are many factor that play into deciding what moniter to choose from
CRT moniters hold nuclear radiation which is cancer causing if you are within front of a computer moniter for a long part of your light of day. LCD have no radiation what so ever
CRT moniters are bulky and run up much of your desk space and are just plain and not so attractive where on earth as LCD are sharper sleeker and space saving, and make you look that much more professional
The performance is almost uncomparable.
LCD's make a payment more depth to the image and is plentifully more edgey
CRTs are cheaper though and when buying a LCD larger is better, so keep 150-200 Dollars handy :)
Hi. The LCD monitors are sharper but enjoy less color rendition. Depends on what you want to do. Photo work? CRT. Normal stuff? LCD. I hold had an LCD for four years and love it. The LCDs also clutch up less desk space and use smaller number power.
CRT are the old style
LCD monitors are the topical thin style.
they both enjoy their ups and downs. If you get an LCD procure one with a low liven up rate.
The LCD will give you better resolution.
I don't want to bring back way to logical on this subject but basic your monitor is covered next to tiny dots (pixels) that are in sets of 3 (R)ed (B)lue and (G)reen within is an electron beam that fires from the rear legs of the CRT that scans support and forth across the surface of your monitor screen as a super hight rate this is what produces the imitation that you see on your screen. LCD own more pixels per sq inch therefore they produce clearer pictures
LCD monitors are flat panel an whip up little room. CRT are the bulky TV type monitors.
CRT (cathode ray tube) is the big monitor that looks similar to a television. Well the elder ones, anyway.

LCD (liquid crystal display) is the flat panel monitors that most stores are trying to sell at present.

If you have a space problem, the LCD is the discernible choice as it may only pilfer up 5-6 inches of deskspace.

A CRT still has the LCD measure on resolution though. Up to 17" they may be comparable, but after that the CRT is still the best looking image. LCD dot pitches (the size of the dots that get up your screen) on the 19" and larger monitors are typically .29mm which is really crap compared to a CRT which will have .26mm or better. The difference is effortlessly seen.

So to answer your press, for anything up to 17" they are the same, so I would grasp a LCD. If you need anything bigger, a CRT have a better image characteristic, though doesn't have the cool-factor of an LCD.

I don't know why they haven't made the larger LCDs beside the finer dot-pitch yet. Maybe to be precise just ahead. The LCD (& LCD TV) open market has changed so much over days gone by year with larger blind sizes and plummeting prices...

As for the green factor (as in environment), CRTs enjoy a lot of organize, but LCDs have closely of mercury. Pick yer poison.
