What's a appropriate target price for a clad flat eyeshade monitor?

I'm deperately wanting a flat eyeshade monitor (takes less space, uses smaller quantity electricity), but I have no clue almost them, what's considered a good (or great) price for one? Are in that any I should shy away from? Where's a good place to buy one? Whats a flawless brand?

Answer:
For a 17" LCD, $180-200 is the going price range, and rebate may lower that a little. 19" ones dance for 20-30 more.

Good brands I've worked with include Acer (highly recommended), ViewSonic, and HP.

Do not purchase X2Gen products even if they extend rebates - the products are clothed, but they are under investigation for not honoring rebate for anyone.
