The surface on the back of the eyeshade is coated with phosphors that hurricane lantern up when struck by the electron beam
Plasmsa -Flat-panel display technology that ignite small pockets of gas to light phosphors
hope that help,
I believe " MAX B " has answered what you requirement to know. But in defence you wonder which one is typically the best to go for, chose any LCD or CRT depending on your needs.
LCD take less electricity, have less strain on eyes, is excellent for photo editing, and above wearing clothes for gaming and video. Basically, if you're going to use your LCD for gaming and video, chose the monitor the the least amount of response time (its a specification of an LCD Monitor, which you inevitability to consider before purchase)
CRT take up electricity and space, has more strain on the eyes, and well-mannered for photo editing and excellent for video and gaming.
Hope that helps,
Cheers.
