What is the padlock sign on dell computer monitor?
Answer:
I hold one of these on my Acer laptop, if it is the same it is for you to purchase a lock which slots into the slot and later is locked with a push button and tied around the handle of a locked drawer to stop someone from stealing your laptop. Much resembling a bicycle chain.
Added:
I own just looked this up within my user manual, the type of lock if you looked-for to buy one is a Kensington lock - these are made specifically to fit that size laptop slot.
If you continue to hold these problems and have access to one, a spare monitor plugged into your laptop would bring up to date you if this is a monitor problem or if it is caused by something else (ie if at hand is no fault near external monitor then it is a problem confined to your current monitor). Regardless of this, it is not at adjectives likely (I'd vote impossible) that the Kensington padlock slot is the cause of your problem. I hope you gain it fixed, good luck.
Yes, it's a collateral slot. It's unlikely it could have anything to do beside the monitor not turning on.
