If you loved the old one why not see what its originator has within a larger size. Otherwise go for a 19" or larger widescreen LCD monitor. Look for lots of pixels and soaring contrast and high speed.
There are several good brands available at passable prices.
Consider what you are going to use it for i.e. if you are going to watch movies you might want a widescreen format.
Get the extreme "refresh" rate you can afford and ensure that the item supports your video card.
At the expensive end of the clamber, and assumming you have a PC, you could reflect about getting a DVI output video card which would stingy extra expense but much better picture quality.
I only had duplicate problem as you about a month ago and I be able to find a great blind. After doing some research I decided that the Acer brand be the best for what I was looking for. Acer offer cheap screens that are reasonably large and reliable. Also because of the nouns of that product they are branching into computers. The screens are bright, vivid, and surprisingly squarish (meaning you achieve more screen for diagonal inches). I would recommend this brand to anyone.

You can get these from 14" adjectives the way to 62". Most will hold connection for workstation input.
