See if you can adjust resolution of the screen (not by setting it within windows but a bit by playing with monitor settings, if here are any). Also, see if that's the video card that's playing the tricks. In the display properties->settings, go to advanced and select tab of your video card. See if in attendance are any settings you can change. Downloading/reinstalling clean drivers seems approaching a useless idea but when adjectives else fails, try that.
