Is the an lcd monitor that exists that can be used via USB or firewire, and is mac compatible?

Answer:
No such entity exists. In order to run a monitor, the computer have to use the graphics card, which is why you cant just plug it into the firewire or USB port. Sorry!
I agree beside the same answer above, you entail a Graphic Card and I never hear about USB OR FIREWIRE and mac does not enjoy feauture either because because mac uses DVI or VGA display adapters that also Windows PC's uses too!!! You can find support too at this website www.newegg.com
