Your LCD blind is as sensitive as your eyeball. No harsh chemicals, no stern abrasives.
If you think the eyeshade is not that sensitive, press on the screen totally gently next to an index card and watch the blind display image start to distort. Again feel eyeball while cleaning.
I use distilled water and a soft cloth.
If this is a notebook don't mistake upright impressions as dust or grime. I have see dozens of Dell and Apple notebook key metaphors scored into the LCD eyeshade. They can't be cleaned.

They enjoy a product at Best Buy called Belkin Screen Cleaning for LCD. It's the safest road to get dust, and finger prints stale. Glass cleaner is not good for LCD screen, and it leaves streaks.
