My monitor wont come on. it say power pick up mode and to move the mouse or press any knob to unlock but no luck?

your pc may be have a problem with 'standby' or 'hybernation' mode. Just power-off the PC. If this problem reoccurs, next you can dis-able standby and/or hybernation mode.
the control is located in start---control panel--power settings.
progress your video card. Possibly you have a digital monitor and a regular VGA card.
Hit Ctrl + Alt + Delete
It will bring up the Close Program fanlight, so your monitor should come back on.
