I enjoy a Gateway flat screen monitor and it's 4 to 5 years infirm. For the past week, it have been blinking/flashing approaching a strobe light while computer boots up. Now this morning, something latest is happening within addition to the blinking -- it "blacks out" every so habitually -- even after it has booted. Is this something I can fix or is it time for a unusual monitor? Thanks.

this may not be the monitor thats having trouble,it could be your video card, if u own another pc available, try the monitor it. if it does impossible to tell apart thing,throw away the monitor. If it works honest, it's your video card,best to call your businesswoman to replace it or trouble shoot the problem.
