Yes you can buy a video tuner card (internal or external) and use it for a television.
You can plug contained by cable, rabbit ears, and even gaming systems.
You can also rig it up with Windows Media Center XP or Vista and use an antediluvian computer as a DVR.
Make sure the monitor is not too old or the resolution won't be the best.
Yes ! I own an old Commodore 64 computer monitor connected to a VCR next to AV cables and it works great. Your monitor may not hold the connections or be able to connect, but it may be possible. I bought my AV cable with the colored plugs alike on both ends at Big Lots for about $2.50.
Check the links below on how to use the s-video out of your computer.
Good luck!
depends on the connectors on your monitor. if it have DVI connectors ( the white long one) you can connect it to your cable box or satellite box most of them have that output. some also own the regular RGB one ( the little blue one) or you an buy a TV tuner card for you computer connect and watch tv while on your computer. IF the monitor have all the other inputs resembling S-video or the componite (yellow, red, white) then you can connect it that means of access. But thats pretty much it youll get the best picture thru DVI
