Can a CRT monitor to be exact too see be repaired?

I hold an old Gateway EV700 monitor explicitly really dark. The brightness and contrast are maxed out and temp is at 9300k. The picture is still nice and crisp, but it is extremely gloomy. I'd like to know if it is possible to enjoy this type of problem repaired rather than simply using 3rd jamboree software to adjust the gamma to some rediculously high even.

Answer:
The issue is that either the phosphors on the peak are beginning to become deskbound or the cathode gun is wearing out. There are ways to fix these problems:

but, these fixes are temporary at best. Plus, they require the use of some to a certain extent complicated equipment. You'll be working with electricity to adjust the input to the cathode gun.

As the others own recommended, get rid of the CRT monitor if you can afford to buy a current one. Even LCD screens are relatively cheap immediately. I bought a 19" monitor at Best Buy for $189 more than 6 months ago.
Most likely yes, pinch monitor to a TV repair shop, ask an experts opinion though,

They should be capable of offer some conception as to costs also.
I'd upgrade to a flat screen LCD monitor instead of wasting money on fixing an hoary CRT. LCD monitors use a lot smaller amount energy. Sell your CRT and win an LCD.
CRTs are almost obsolete. The cost of a replacement CRT would be smaller quantity than the repairs. Replace it.
Yes, this can be repaired.

However, the repair will probably cost almost as much as a new monitor. I one and only recommend repairing it if the monitor is still under warranty, otherwise costwise it will not be worth it.
