It is restricted not only to your Monitor, but also to your video card. If you dont own a video card in your notebook (to which your monitor would connect to) then your basically using a 3d engine built into the motherboard. Which is not ever really good. Thus, even if you have the newest monitor next to allowing high resolutions, you'd still solitary be able to receive probably 800x600 maybe 1024x768 but i doubt it. And the other means of access around too. You could have a newer video card and an aged monitor and same thing. So it go hand contained by hand. I enjoy a 19 inch lcd monitor and a geforce 6600gt and i can get 1280x1024.// Right click your mouse on your desktop and select properties. Then budge to settings.
