Sceptre 22in Lcd backlight problem.?

I've just this minute bought a 22in. lcd monitor from sceptre. The problem is the backlight of the screen suddenly keep turning off after 3 second. I know this because the screen turns on properly but the fluffy then turns sour and I can still see the lcd images except I enjoy to shine my own light on it to see it.

Does anyone know how to keep hold of the backlight on?

Answer:
Return it...the backlight should never go bad unless the entire monitor is off.
