the good laptop, if its an equal spec to the desktop, is gonna cost at most minuscule lb300 more. desktops are cheaper, but laptops are cooler. just check the freestyle life - i use a 3GHZ, 1.25Gig RAM laptop, but cos it have 4 fans tha mobile lasts for a moment over half and hour. also check the graphics card - if its for gaming, later the desktop is better, as you can upgrade later

Tablet PC - for its handwriting function
Desktop- for conduct.

A desk top is easier to repair and upgrade. A laptop would be for mobility and tend to have a slower disc burner. If you want performance and mobility procure a good MAC laptop next to a 12" screen costs around $1100.00. a laptop near a big screen is not massively portable as they weigh too much.
