Why Are TV and Computer Screens Rectangle?
Answer:
When TVs started, the Baird televisor scan the image surrounded by stripes giving a rectangular picture. Although CRTs are easier to make round,(radar uses round screens) they also scan the picture surrounded by stripes so it's easier to have a rectangular picture. LCD and plasma screen could be made any shape, but everything now works within rectangles so they do too.
*guess* because if it's circle, it will make you dizzy...hahaha
Because its much easier for a computer to process an depiction if its an even shape (square/rectangular). Also, its the best shape for most uses, and the easiest to manufacture.
