I enjoy a Sun Microsystems 21-inch monitor, I bought an adaptor to be able to attach it to my regular computer. regrettably each time the monitor go to sleep, it takes it 2-3 minutes to start up again, but somehow here was a time when it would one and only need a few second to start up and show everything, anyone know how I can get it vertebrae to that setting?

I assume what is happening is that your power option are set so that your system hibernates instead of any just turning your monitor sour or going into standby.
Check your power options within control panel. Turn hibernate to never.
