How masses monitors can my laptop support?

I hold a thinkpad g40 with a second monitor already plugged within. But now I've hear tell of USB adaptor (" the SEE2 ($99, retailers programmed at www.trittontechnologies.com) plugs into a U.S.B. 2.0 socket." - NYTimes, The virtues of a second screen) Can I use one of these adaptors and support 3 monitors?

Answer:
Windows XP supports using multiple monitors and has the Dualview phase built in. Dualview let you add a separate monitor to your laptop and vision different programs on each display.

1 in general but u can increase by tweking hardware and increasing the ports. But still u will be seeing the same blind on every monitor.
i suppose the g40 also have a S-Video output, so you can hook up a TV set (or projector) as 3rd monitor.
As far as window is concerns you can have a 3rd and 4th monitor. if they did a accurate job you should own no problem. I have not tried it individually.
No.... you just enjoy to buy a video splitter, with more ports, that's it, that process you can plug in as various as 5 monitors, but you'll see the same picture.
as masses as you want... just buy the multi-switch for monitors...
