I enjoy a problem near my workstation. My Monitor is stuck on Stand-by mode but when i start the laptop up it sounds fine?

I enjoy treid taking out the grapic card out and making sure that evey conection is fixed in place.

you should disable system standby.
on desktop, right click--properties--screen saver--power.
at system standby, set it to never.
