Broken monitor...?

My cat other sleeps on top on the monitor and yes I know it was stupid of me letting her. I didn't realize she could break it by jump on top of it from the floor to sleep. She looks so cute and the fry from the fan warm her.
Now everytime I turn it on I have to hit and turn it different ways to bring back a reception/to make the piece come on. My finacee said there's a short in it presently.
How much would it cost to fix it or would it be easier to buy a new one and for what price? Can u buy a monitor in need buying the whole bunch?

Answer:
Yes, you can buy monitors all alone. Check the local thrift shops. People a moment ago throw them out. A new one can cost anywhere from a couple hundred dollars to over a thousand, depending on what you want. I would suggest replacing it because if it truly have a short, it won't be pretty when it goes. I have one catch fire once. Keep it tuned past its sell-by date, and keep your cat sour it. (My cat lays on mine too!)
Get a new one. Monitors swing in price, the CRT's are cheaper but smaller quantity quality, but the LCD's are better. I recommend an LCD monitor, they are the solitary ones that I own. Your cat can't sleep on it though (though I doubt you want her to anymore ;) )
